THE ARTIST

In the past many subjects emerged from the study and experimentation of different techniques that formed my visual language. The research of my interest, varied from art history issues, in particular way the metaphysical art and the 'arte povera', to social-culture anthropology. In addition the psychoanalysis fields, related to the archetypes and the Jungian theories are a consistent base of inspiration.

I have used extensively the black, real rust, stretched textiles on wood panels, to construct visually the tense and destruction of the various mechanisms of the mind, either cognitive or psychological. The main idea of the artworks on wood panels was to be able to disassemble and reassemble them, looking for a simulation of the memory mechanisms.

The most recent work reveals an inner continuous disquietude and wondering around philosophical existence, sentimental and ethic questions. The surface of the canvas is a place of a mental scene and a perception of issues which have a notional instance. In the epicenter of attention, enigmatic visions are formed by created objects, drawings and materials that in some cases are found in nature, in abandoned old buildings, churches and other places. The background's color painting fields aim the essential, approaching the Cartesian dualism. A scene is set in a constructive synthesis which provokes the sense of balance, between the two substances. The ambition is to induce a composition which dialects philosophically the various human conditions and transmit to the observer the need to reflect, than to admire aesthetically when facing an artwork.
